Hillary wins in New Hampshire
Defying opinion polls and political pundits who had virtually written her off, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton on Wednesday defeated front-runner Barack Obama in a nail-biting New Hampshire Democratic presidential nomination contest.
With more than 70 per cent of the precincts counted, Hillary had come away with 40 per cent of the vote in the presidential primary with Obama coming a close second at 36 per cent.
