Students in Bihar protest against MNS attacks

There is anger on the streets of Bihar over the attacks on north Indians in by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray’s supporters.

Acting on a one-day bandh called by various students unions of the state, hundreds of students ransacked a railway station near Patna and tried to vandalise a university. They clashed with the police and some of them were taken into custody.

Most of the shops and schools remained closed as students carried out processions shouting slogans against MNS. They tried to stop trains in the Darbhanga district also. There’s heavy police presence in the city, especially at the Dak Bangla crossing.
